Serene Café - Rules

These are the rules for the Serene Café Discord server.

Rules can change, and likely will. When we make changes you will be told through the announcements channel.

Feel free to ask staff about any rule you don't understand.

If you feel there is something missing from the rules, make a suggestion in the server's suggestions forum. Use the tag "site" for suggestions to the rules.

This server is on discord, so follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

General rules

  1. Be respectful to others
    • Don't be disruptive, we don't tolerate any of the following:
      • Spamming
        • Flooding the chat in a short period of time.
      • Harassment
        • Defined as repeatedly targeting someone with the intent to annoy and/or hurt them.
      • Discrimination
        • Includes sexism, racism, homophobia, etc.
  2. No NSFW
    • No form of nudity, lewd, or otherwise sexual content is allowed.
    • Gore is not allowed
    • This includes links to NSFW content, and even your profile picture, nickname, "About Me", or status.
  3. No self-promotion
    • We do not allow any form of advertising, including any of the following:
      • Links to other servers
      • Links to your social media accounts
        • This includes links to your YouTube or Twitch channels, or your X (formerly Twitter) accounts, etc.
      • Links to your website
      • Links to your sales, give-aways, etc.
  4. Follow channel descriptions
    • Each channel has a description, please follow it.
    • Threads exist, if you want to discuss content in a channel, open a thread on the message.
  5. Try to avoid sensitive topics
    • Sensitive topics include anything that affect another user negatively.
    • Sensitive topics may include (Note this is not a complete list, rather a list of examples of sensitive topics)
      • Politics
      • Religion
      • Mental health
      • Suggestions of self harm
  6. Keep use of non-English to a minimum
    • We ask that all of our users speak English, as our staff or other member may not be able to understand you otherwise, making moderation or conversation difficult.
    • If you are unable to speak English, please let us know in the suggestions channel so we can try to help you.

Voice rules

  1. Don't channel hop
    • Channel hopping is defined by leaving and rejoing channels repeatedly.
  2. No loud noises, or overuse of soundboards
    • This includes both the built in Discord's built in soundboard and soundboard programs on your computer.

Our rules for alts

Alts are allowed, but we have more rules for them

  1. Don't use your alt to evade a punishment
    • If you have been muted, banned, punished in some other way, there was a reason behind it.
    • If you believe you have been punished unfairly, please contact staff.
  2. Alts are not allowed with bots
    • This is a bit weird, more specifically, we don't allow bots to be used for any boosting purposes, like boosting XP using VCs, currency (pay) or items.
